OUR ROOTS
Rick’s AMT is a proud family-owned non-emergency medical transportation company. It was founded in 2000 by the late Carl “Rick” Reichelt, who saw firsthand the critical gaps in coordination between patients and transportation providers while working as a driver himself. Driven by a passion to improve care, Rick established Rick’s Auto Medical Transportation to provide Michigan with a much-needed, fully licensed, safe, and reliable medical transportation service.
As the company grew, Rick’s Auto Medical Transportation evolved into Rick’s AMT. In 2015, Rick’s daughter, Sarah Clark, took over leadership of the company. Under her guidance, Rick’s AMT entered a new era—expanding across Michigan, adopting cutting-edge dispatch technology, and growing a fleet of over 100 vehicles to meet increasing demand.
To date, Rick’s AMT has proudly served over 500,000 individuals across the state. We remain committed to delivering compassionate, dependable transportation services and look forward to continued partnerships across Michigan and beyond as we pursue future growth
